Add-In for stores and marketplacesTrade Me & Business Integration
Your Store to Trade Me. Connected.
Bring your products, suppliers, sales, and accounts together. Connect your existing online store, automatically publish eligible products to Trade Me, keep stock and pricing updated, and simplify accounting with connected order, payment, and reconciliation workflows.
Commerce Connect is configured for the platforms and suppliers you already use. We assess each connection before anything is switched on, tell you plainly what a platform supports, and leave the final approval with you.
What it keeps in step
- Your store and catalogueStays the source of truth for products, pricing and stock.
- Trade Me listingsEligible products published, priced and paused by your rules.
- Accounts and reconciliationOrders, fees and settlements matched into Xero or MYOB.
Available as a Click IT add-in. Every connection is assessed and configured for your platforms, suppliers and accounts before it is enabled.
Why connect
Four things change when the systems talk to each other
Commerce Connect is not a replacement for your store, your accounting software or your Trade Me account. It is the layer that keeps them consistent.
Less manual entry
Products, orders, payments and fees move between systems without someone retyping them, so the same work is not done three times in three places.
Consistent stock
One stock position across your store and Trade Me, with out of stock controls so a listing cannot sell something you no longer have.
Faster publishing
Products already in your catalogue can be prepared for Trade Me in bulk, with pricing rules and category mapping applied the same way every time.
Clearer accounts
Orders, marketplace fees and settlements arrive in your accounting software with enough detail to reconcile, and the items that cannot be matched confidently are sent for review.
Connect your existing store
Keep the store you already have
Your product catalogue stays where it is. Commerce Connect reads from it and keeps it in step, so you are not rebuilding every listing by hand.
WooCommerce
Product, stock and order synchronisation through the platform's API.
Shopify
Catalogue, inventory and order data via the Shopify API.
Magento and Adobe Commerce
Catalogue and order feeds for supported versions.
BigCommerce
Product and inventory synchronisation through its API.
Custom websites
Where the site exposes an API, a database view or a scheduled feed.
Other platforms
Assessed on the same basis: does it offer a supported way in?
How the assessment works
- The first step is an integration assessment: what the platform exposes, what data it holds, and how often it can be read or updated.
- Where a platform has no supported API or feed, we say so during assessment rather than building something fragile around it.
- Existing product identifiers, SKUs and internal references are preserved so nothing has to be relinked later.
Publish products to Trade Me
Listings that keep themselves current
Products are prepared once and published on a schedule you control. Nothing is published until you approve the approach, and you can leave a preview and approval step in place for as long as you want it.
- Bulk publishing of eligible existing products
- Automatic publishing of newly approved products
- Product titles, descriptions, images and variations
- Category mapping to the categories that fit each product
- Stock and selling price synchronisation
- Configurable margins and Trade Me pricing rules
- Shipping options and fulfilment settings per listing
- Listing updates and renewal settings where Trade Me supports them
- Out of stock controls to reduce overselling
- Order imports and tracking updates where the platform supports them
- A preview and approval option before automatic publishing is enabled
- Listing status, synchronisation history and error notifications
How publishing runs
- 1Choose which products are eligible and how they should be described.
- 2Map categories, shipping and pricing rules, then review a preview of what would be published.
- 3Approve the batch, or enable automatic publishing for products approved in future.
- 4Watch the synchronisation history for anything that failed, and fix the underlying product rather than the listing.
What publishing depends on
- Publishing depends on your Trade Me seller account, permissions, category requirements and product eligibility.
- Trade Me listing allowances, fees, API limits and category rules apply and can change over time.
- We do not promise unlimited listings, and we cannot promise that every product will be accepted.
- Where a product is ineligible for a category, we surface the reason in the listing status rather than retrying silently.
Supplier integration
Supplier catalogues and costs, kept in step
Commerce Connect can read catalogues, stock and cost updates from major suppliers and distributors, including Ingram Micro Xvantage and other supported supplier systems, so your catalogue reflects what is actually available.
- Catalogue imports from supplier systems and feeds
- Supplier stock and cost updates
- Product images, specifications, brands, SKUs and manufacturer part numbers
- Multiple suppliers mapped to one internal product
- Duplicate detection and product matching
- Supplier selection rules based on cost and availability
- Configurable pricing and minimum margins
- Purchase order and fulfilment workflows where the supplier supports them
How supplier data is handled
- Supplier identifiers are retained internally for matching and reordering, while your own SKUs are shown where a customer or staff member needs them.
- Where two suppliers carry the same product, matching rules decide which record wins, and disagreements are listed for a person to settle.
- Pricing rules are yours: minimum margin, rounding, freight treatment and whether a fallback supplier price is acceptable.
Each connection is assessed
- Each supplier connection depends on account access, available APIs or data feeds, permissions and regional support.
- Some supplier systems provide scheduled files rather than live APIs, which means updates arrive in batches rather than instantly.
- Connections are assessed and configured individually. We do not claim a live connection to a supplier until it has been tested with your account.
Xero and MYOB
Sales, fees and payments that land in the right place
Commerce Connect passes sales, customers, invoices, payments and marketplace fees into your accounting software, with the identifiers needed to stop the same transaction being entered twice.
- Sales and customer synchronisation
- Invoices, credit notes and refunds
- Payment and settlement matching
- Marketplace fees and shipping allocation
- GST mapping to the codes agreed with your accountant
- Purchase and supplier bill workflows where supported
- Sales, fees, refunds and bank settlement reconciliation
- Exceptions sent for review when a transaction cannot be matched confidently
Preventing duplicate entries
- Every transaction carries an identifier from the system it came from, so a retry cannot create a second copy.
- Synchronisation rules are written down and agreed before go live, including what happens when a source record changes.
- Validation runs before posting, and anything that fails validation is held for review rather than posted with a guess.
Banking and reconciliation
Less Manual Matching. Clearer Accounts.
Supported bank feeds, accounting integrations and authorised banking services can help match incoming transactions against invoices, marketplace settlements, supplier payments and fees.
- Supported bank feed connectivity through Xero, MYOB or an authorised provider
- Rule based transaction matching
- Matching one settlement to multiple orders and the fees attached to them
- Suggested account coding based on the rules you agree
- Automatic reconciliation where the accounting platform supports it and you enable it
- Review queues for unmatched, partial, duplicate or uncertain transactions
- An audit trail of automated actions, including which rule matched a transaction
What banking automation depends on
- Coverage and the degree of automation vary by bank, provider, account type and accounting platform.
- We do not claim a direct integration with every major bank, and we never ask for your internet banking password or two factor codes.
- Where a bank or provider does not support a feed, the workflow falls back to imported statements and the same matching rules.
Tax and IRD workflows
Tax information organised, filing on your terms
Sales, expenses and GST information can be organised and transferred into your accounting software so tax reporting starts from complete records rather than a manual tidy up at the end of the period.
- Sales, expense and GST data organised for reporting in the accounting platform
- GST mapping consistent with the treatment your accountant has agreed
- Figures prepared in the accounting software, ready for review before anything is filed
- Filing through supported accounting software or an authorised integration where one is available
- Any filing workflow requires your explicit authorisation before it runs
Preparing information is not filing a return
There is a clear difference between preparing tax information and submitting a return. Commerce Connect prepares and organises information. Submitting a return only ever happens with your authorisation, through software you already use or an authorised provider.
What we do not claim
- We are not an official IRD filing partner and do not claim to be one. We do not claim direct filing capability with IRD.
- Tax treatment depends on your entity, sector and circumstances. Your accountant or tax agent decides the treatment and the filing approach.
- Where a workflow cannot be supported properly, we will say so rather than work around it.
How the data moves
One picture of the integration
Each arrow below is a direction the data actually travels. Supplier data and bank transactions are never sent to IRD, and nothing is filed without your authorisation.

Setup
Five steps from assessment to launch
The same sequence applies whether you are connecting a store, a supplier or an accounting platform. Timelines are agreed once the assessment is complete, not before.
- 1
Assess
We review your store platform, catalogue, suppliers, Trade Me account and accounting software, then write down what each connection can and cannot do.
- 2
Connect
Accounts and credentials are set up with the access needed and nothing more. Access uses supported methods rather than stored passwords.
- 3
Configure
Category mapping, pricing rules, margins, shipping, GST codes and matching rules are configured and reviewed with you before anything runs live.
- 4
Validate
A controlled batch is published and reconciled end to end, so you can see exactly what would happen before automatic publishing or automatic reconciliation is switched on.
- 5
Launch
Automation is enabled at the pace you choose, errors and exceptions are monitored, and the rules are adjusted as your product range and supplier arrangements change.
Questions
Commerce Connect questions, answered
No. Your existing store stays where it is and remains the source of truth for your catalogue. Commerce Connect reads from it and keeps the connected systems in step, so listings do not need to be recreated by hand.
We assess WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento and Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, custom websites, and other platforms that expose an API, a database view or a scheduled feed. If a platform offers no supported way in, we will tell you during the assessment instead of building something fragile around it.
No, and we will not promise that. Publishing depends on your seller permissions, category requirements, listing allowances, fees, API limits and whether a product is eligible. We publish the eligible products, report why the others were skipped, and leave the final approval with you.
Where the supplier offers account access with a supported API or feed, yes. That includes major distributors such as Ingram Micro Xvantage and other supplier systems. Each connection is assessed individually, and suppliers that only publish scheduled files are handled in batches.
No. We use supported bank feeds through Xero, MYOB or an authorised provider. Coverage and automation vary by bank, provider and account type, we do not claim direct integration with every major bank, and we never ask for your internet banking password or two factor codes.
Commerce Connect organises sales, expenses and GST information and transfers it into your accounting software so reporting starts from complete records. Filing happens through supported accounting software or an authorised integration, only with your explicit authorisation. We are not an official IRD filing partner and we do not claim direct filing capability.
It goes to a review queue rather than being posted with a guess. Each exception shows what was found, what was expected and which rule applied, and the record of automated actions stays available as an audit trail.
We quote after the assessment, because the work depends on how many systems you are connecting and how much data mapping is involved. There is no cost to the initial assessment conversation.
