Add-Ins · Marketplace connections
Sell in More Places Without Selling the Same Thing Twice.
Marketplaces bring buyers, and they bring their own rules, categories and data requirements. We build the connection between your store and the marketplaces you sell on, so listings stay current and stock cannot be sold twice.
Trade Me is the marketplace we connect most often for New Zealand sellers. Others can be assessed and connected according to their APIs, seller eligibility, permissions and integration requirements.
Trade Me is named as an example of a marketplace we can assess. Listing allowances, fees, category rules and API limits are set by the marketplace and can change, and every listing is subject to the eligibility rules that apply at the time.
01 · Capability
Publishing and updating listings
Products are prepared once in your own catalogue and published from there, so a change to a product description or an image does not mean editing the listing by hand.
- Publishing and updating listings from your existing catalogue
- Product titles, descriptions, images and variations
- Mapping store products to marketplace categories
- Applying channel-specific pricing rules
- Pausing, relisting or withdrawing listings as products change
- A preview and approval step, which you can keep in place for as long as you want it
02 · Capability
Stock and overselling controls
The most expensive marketplace mistake is selling something you no longer have. Stock is synchronised across your channels, with controls that hold a listing back rather than let it sell into a gap.
- Synchronising available inventory across channels
- Buffer stock, so a fast-moving line is not sold out from under a store order
- Out-of-stock controls that pause or hide a listing automatically
- Zero-price and zero-stock protections before publication
- Alerts when a stock figure moves unexpectedly or a feed has not updated
03 · Capability
Orders, fulfilment and tracking
Orders from every channel arrive in one queue, with the marketplace reference attached, so packing and dispatch work from a single list.
- Importing orders into a central system, including your store, POS or ERP
- Marketplace order references carried through to invoicing
- Updating fulfilment and tracking, where the marketplace supports it
- Fees and commissions recorded alongside the order for reconciliation
- Exceptions held for review when an order cannot be matched to a product
04 · Capability
Other marketplaces
New Zealand sellers often work across several channels, so connectors are built to be added to rather than replaced.
- A marketplace can be assessed on three questions: does it offer a supported API, is your seller account eligible, and does it permit the access required
- Where a marketplace allows feed-based updates rather than an API, that is workable and the trade-offs are explained up front
- Where a marketplace does not permit automated access, we say so instead of building something that breaks the terms and gets your account restricted
How it works
Discover, connect, configure, test, then launch
Marketplace work follows the same five steps. Discovery establishes what each marketplace allows before any listing work starts.
Discover
We review your catalogue, the marketplaces you sell on, your seller accounts and the categories your products need to sit in.
Connect
Marketplace accounts are connected through supported authentication, with the seller permissions the integration requires and nothing further.
Configure
Category mapping, channel pricing, shipping options, stock buffers and approval rules are configured and reviewed with you.
Test
A small batch of products is published, ordered and refunded, so you can see how listings, stock and fees behave before the full range goes live.
Launch and support
Listings are released in batches, with synchronisation history, error notifications and a review queue for anything the marketplace rejects.
Marketplace Integration questions
No, and we will not promise that. Acceptance depends on your seller permissions, category requirements, listing allowances, fees and product eligibility. Where a product is rejected, the reason is recorded rather than retried silently.
We synchronise stock across channels and apply buffer stock where you want it, which reduces the window considerably. Perfect real-time consistency depends on how quickly each marketplace reports a sale, and that limitation is explained during discovery.
Yes. Your store stays the source of truth for products and stock, and the marketplace is treated as a sales channel rather than a second catalogue to maintain.
Often yes. Each one is assessed against its API, your seller eligibility and its permission requirements. If a marketplace does not permit automated access, we will tell you rather than work around its rules.
